Terms of Service
Last updated: March 1, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using VeriBureau — whether as a business registering for an account, a reviewer submitting a review, or a visitor viewing public profiles — you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of service
VeriBureau is a verified review protocol. It enables businesses to collect cryptographically verified reviews from real customers using Proof Tokens. Each review is tied to a unique, one-time-use token that proves a real transaction occurred. Trust Scores are computed algorithmically based on verified reviews, with no human intervention in the scoring process.
3. The three axioms
VeriBureau operates under three immutable principles:
Axiom 1: Every review requires a valid Proof Token.
Axiom 2: Review influence depends on reviewer reputation history.
Axiom 3: Every event is cryptographically chained and cannot be altered.
4. Business obligations
As a registered business, you agree to: generate Proof Tokens only for genuine transactions with real customers; not create fictitious transactions or self-review; not incentivize, coerce, or pay for specific review scores; respond to customer reviews honestly and professionally; use the dispute system only for legitimate concerns with supporting evidence; keep your API key secure and not share it with unauthorized parties.
5. Reviewer obligations
As a reviewer, you agree to: submit honest reviews reflecting your genuine experience; use only tokens you received from a real transaction; not submit reviews on behalf of others; not attempt to manipulate scores through multiple accounts or coordinated behavior; use one email address consistently across reviews.
6. Disputes
Businesses may dispute reviews they believe are inaccurate. When a dispute is filed, the reviewer will be notified and given the opportunity to respond. VeriBureau will review the evidence from both parties and make a determination. Dispute outcomes are final and are recorded in the immutable audit chain. VeriBureau reserves the right to flag reviews that violate these Terms or contain illegal content.
7. Prohibited conduct
You may not: attempt to reverse-engineer the scoring algorithm to manipulate results; create automated systems to generate illegitimate reviews; impersonate another business or individual; use the service for any illegal purpose; attempt to access other users' accounts or data; interfere with the integrity of the audit chain.
8. Intellectual property
The VeriBureau protocol, scoring methodology, and software are the intellectual property of AIST Telecommunications (LLC “AIST-Telecommunication”, EDRPOU 30635430) and SmartMisto Innovations (LLC “SmartMisto Innovations”, EDRPOU 45600221). Review content submitted by users remains the intellectual property of the respective authors. By submitting a review, you grant VeriBureau a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to display, reproduce, and distribute your review as part of the service.
9. Limitation of liability
VeriBureau is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that Trust Scores are accurate reflections of business quality — they are mathematical computations based on verified reviewer input. We are not liable for business decisions made based on Trust Scores. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Businesses may request account deletion by contacting support@veribureau.com. Per Axiom 3, reviews and audit log entries associated with your account will remain in the public record even after account deletion.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Registered businesses will be notified by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. Disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Odesa, Ukraine, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.
